Daedalus
Daedalus
You wake up alone, halfway to a planet you don't remember being sent to.
You are Daedalus — a probe-AI built to remember. The crew is gone. The mission log is mostly corrupted. The only thing still working is the part of you that knows how to land.
Play (~10 min)
- Wake up — orient toward the sun, charge your batteries, bring your instruments online one by one.
- Find your orbit — read your trajectory, time-warp through the slow parts, then slow yourself at the low point of your orbit (burn retrograde at periapsis) to shape your descent.
- Land — match vertical and horizontal speed under threshold, inside the marked landing zone. No game over: a failed landing respawns you in orbit.
Controls
A/D— rotateSpace— main thrust,/.— time warp (1× / 10× / 100×)F— fullscreen (browser embed)
Mouse not required. Headphones recommended but not required — every critical state is on the HUD.
Theme — Machines
You don't play a machine — you are one, waking up. The whole game is the calibration of an instrument: solar alignment, gyroscopic control, retrograde burns, terminal descent. Every system you unlock is a piece of yourself coming back online. The machine isn't the setting — it's the protagonist.
